In the first quarter of 2025, Switzerland's social networking landscape saw varied performance among the top five apps. Data from Sensor Tower highlights trends in downloads, revenue, and active users on a unified platform.

Threads, published by Instagram, Inc., maintained a consistent download rate, beginning the quarter with around 16.7K downloads per week and experiencing a slight fluctuation, peaking at 18.4K. Weekly active users showed an upward trend, starting at approximately 397K and reaching nearly 479K by the end of March.

Telegram Messenger from Telegram FZ-LLC, saw a notable weekly revenue increase, peaking at around $42.8K. Downloads showed a gradual decline from 10.3K to 7.4K, while active users fluctuated, peaking at about 1.32M in late February.

小红书 – 你的生活兴趣社区 experienced a significant spike in downloads early in the quarter, reaching 45.9K, followed by a steady decline. Revenue peaked at $422, while active users showed a modest increase, ending the quarter at about 7.5K.

Facebook, by Meta Platforms, Inc., maintained stable revenue, with a peak of $12.8K in early March. Weekly downloads fluctuated slightly, while active users remained robust, peaking at approximately 1.48M in early February.

Lastly, WhatsApp Messenger showed consistent download numbers, starting the quarter at 9.9K and ending at 5.9K. Weekly active users remained strong, increasing from about 6.2M to 6.3M by the end of March.
